We aim to bring Yoga Teacher Training Standards back up to Safe Teaching Practices and Methodology, and back to the Authentic Roots of Yoga. Incorporating all the elements of Yoga Teacher Training.

Having been working in the well-being sector for over 35 years we know a few things about business etiquette, living rightfully, maintaining wellness both in body, soul, and spirit. Creating a safe learning environment, and so much more! We would love to work alongside you and your Yoga business.

We have been teaching yoga for over 25 years (thats a combined knowledge between us of over 50 years!) enabling others to become Yoga Teachers from all over the world. During that time we have learned a great deal about the way our bodies work in unique and different ways.

It is true that Yoga is for Every Body, but it has become increasingly obvious that many Teachers have not been taught how to assess each individual student, and how that person’s body moves.

We place a lot of emphasis on learning the art of adjustment and understanding the mechanics of how our bodies work, and the mechanics of movement, in this way teachers can avoid injury induced exercise.

Our love of Authentic Healing Hatha and the observations over the years has enabled us to quickly determine whether a yoga teacher has been taught in an authentic and safe (Ahimsa) method.

We promise to help you with any lack in training to this point and would welcome enthusiastic teachers at all levels, especially those eager to be part of our wider family of Yogis, to apply for accreditation and future learning with us.

Our Independent Accreditation services means that you and your business/company will be 'Fit For Purpose' and that you meet our high standards of training right across the wellness sector.

Our own search for such a company to accredit our own training's on offer meant that a perfect 'Fit' and understanding of the training methods involved were often overlooked, and it became very clear that actually nobody took the time to visit us, or even keep connected after paying the fee to join!

Here at TK Yoga Ltd both Tina and Keely have set about changing how an accreditation service works. Setting standards in a more clear and concise way.

Objectives and Goals.

As a company our main objectives are measurable steps to make application and assessments easier for Yoga Teachers to accomplish accreditation at the highest level.

Our aim will be to make the whole accreditation process as easily understood as possible, without the need to use valuable resources such as sending paperwork, which in itself meets part of our ethical environmental sustainability responsibility, thus reducing carbon footprint.

Further to our objectives we envisage a register of worldwide ethical and authentic Yoga Teachers who are committed to inclusiveness and well-being on every level.

Our long term goals include the opportunities for collaborative cohesion across the world with those like-minded individuals who seek to become ambassadors for rightful living with authenticity and Ahimsa at their hearts.

Outcomes.

Outcomes for world peace on every level is achievable with Yoga at the heart of every moment, day, month and for years ahead. Yoga is for life, Yoga is life. As dedicated educators we change hearts and minds gently with Yoga as a long term way of living rightfully.

Mission.

Our Mission will be to aid in the expansion of Yoga into all facilities, shelters, schools, colleges, workplaces, care and nursing homes, hospices, hospitals and into the prison facilities. We can only achieve this with the help and dedication of our students, teachers and dedicated yoga schools.

Quality over Quantity.

During the accreditation process TK Yoga Accreditation Services will be looking for quality and good care practices during class delivery.

We have the practice of Ahimsa at our core of our business and will be assessing not only safety in the classroom and during delivery, but that each yoga school will create a safe holding space for others.

Communication will be key in the assessment process. Inclusiveness and a non-judgmental approach at a premium.

Observation will be a very important integral part of the assessment process at Gold Star level. We will choose to visit certain training schools for direct observation (bearing in mind our commitment to reduce carbon footprint) and for those schools that we cannot personally visit we will conduct our live observation via Zoom, Facebook Live, or Microsoft Teams.

Regular Evaluations will be part of our commitment to our subscribers. These will be at least once a year and in some instances more often.

Competence must be shown at every level of Yoga Teacher Training with a sound knowledge of the History of Yoga and the Eight Limbs as a way of rightful living. For the accreditation of each yoga school it will be necessary to demonstrate a sound knowledge of the Asanas, why and how each Asana heals the mind, body and spirit. Why we should practice Pranayama and its benefits. Mudra, Mantra, Kriya and Chakras. These components will be assessed.

TK Yoga Accreditation will address shortcomings and failure to meet standards and will work tirelessly with those individuals and schools to become the best they can be. Yoga is for everyone and with the right open hearted approach we will address, and help to uphold the highest standards we can.

TK Yoga Ltd. will monitor areas for change and continued development. We will use evaluations and quality standards as set down by our company.

Environmental Responsibility.

Refers to our commitment to sustainability and environmentally friendly operations. For Example: We will make a commitment to reduce plastic by selecting and avoiding where possible the use of plastic wrappers and bags. By using the internet for sending and receiving paperwork, and video conferencing. By actively recycling where possible.

Ethical and human rights responsibility.

Ethical responsibility refers to our commitment to operate TK Yoga Accreditation Services in an ethical manner that upholds and supports human rights and principles, such as fair treatment of all contributors, fair business practices and equality.

Economic responsibility.

TK Yoga Accreditation Service refers to the practice of making financial decisions based on a commitment to doing good things for others. For example: Those who teach in schools who wish to train as Qualified Yoga Teachers with TK Yoga to facilitate better learning and stress management reduction in the more challenging learning environments.

Assessment Method.

We at TK Yoga Ltd. will help registered and accredited schools develop a sound student assessment method that fits with the ethos and style of yoga being taught.

Certification.

TK Yoga Ltd. does not charge an extra fee for students certification, or, for the use of our logos on your own certificates.

Helping Yoga Schools to Implement and promote ‘Best Practice’ standards.

TK Yoga Ltd. will encourage and help in the implementation of your schools unique standards and ‘Best Practices’ to be met by our standards.

The Meaning of Best Practice.

‘Best Practice’ means the effectiveness of the training received. Did it meet the students expectation? How can we address training in a way that is shown to be worthy and produce excellence?

‘Best Practice’ means that others can adopt the training methods and expect positive outcomes.

The outcome to be achieved will be the positive impact it has on an individual or their community.

Evaluation and Feedback.

TK Yoga Ltd. will evaluate and give feedback to each Yoga Teacher Training School.

Main Goals of an Accreditation with TK Yoga Ltd.

1. That every Yoga Teacher Training School with have Ahimsa at the core of their teaching. That each school will be inclusive and accepting in approach, manner, and speech.

2. That Yoga Teacher Training Schools will have the eight-fold path at the centre of their training.

3. That each Yoga Teacher Training School will demonstrate knowledge of adjustments and variations of each posture taught to ensure inclusiveness.

4. That each Yoga Teacher School understands the importance of Alignment and why.

5. That each Yoga Teacher Training School understands the importance of Pranayama Practice.

6. That each Yoga Teacher Training School can demonstrate discernment and allowing total authenticity for each student.

7. That each Yoga Teacher Training School understands that support must last longer than the duration of the teacher training.

8. That each Yoga Teacher Training School shows commitment to future learning and implementing those ideas and learning into the promotion of their school and their students learning outcomes.

9. That each Yoga Teacher Training School acknowledges competencies within their school and their students and clearly articulates the assessment methods used.

10. That each Yoga Teacher Training School has clear boundaries and to safe guard their colleagues and each student.

Insurance.

Yoga Teacher Training Schools, Yoga Teachers and Students must have indemnity insurance. We are not affiliated in any way with any insurance company but we do promote BGi. (UK/EU) as a provider.

What’s the Next Step for your schools accreditation?

The next step is to design your framework and the criteria for your training certification or accreditation standards.

You will need to decide on the structure of your training.

For example;

Modules and content to be covered. Daily activities. A workable Timetable. Duration of the course. Together with Learning Outcomes. Objectives. The Level (200/500/1000 hr).

In Person or On-Line or a mix of both? Who will be the Main Teacher? What qualifications have they? Is it with an accredited Yoga School or is their main teaching via many years of Yoga teaching experience?

How will evaluation be recorded ? What language(s) will be used? Inclusiveness? Teaching methods? Feedback!

Gold Schools

Gold is for those accredited schools with TK Yoga Ltd. who have successfully submitted and dedicated their time to improving Yoga Teacher Training Standards. They will have a proven teaching methodology to their safe teaching practices, are able to assess and coach their students to successful outcomes.

Each Gold Membership awarded by TK Yoga Ltd is carefully and systematically scrutinised via our own standards of teaching as laid down on our Standards Page.

We will constantly ask for feedback from yoga students as to the accuracy of the Gold Schools as to the depth and level of good teaching practices. Value of the teaching, and how any improvements can be made. We do this via feedback forms, reviews and telephone interviews. When we discover any areas lacking in Good Practices we personally take the time to work with the principal of the yoga school at no extra cost.

Our Gold Star Schools are the schools that consistently perform at the highest level. The reviews will quantify the excellence achieved during training.

The Elite Gold Star Schools will be those that have consistently had Ahimsa at the core of their training and teaching and have scheduled regular generosity to those who may not otherwise have been able to access Yoga and Well-Being. Usually these Yoga Teacher Training Schools are not-for-profit schools and have shown regular investment into outreach projects.

Elite Gold Star schools will need to meet all the criteria of Gold Members as well as consistently performing outstandingly.

Sharing knowledge is very important to us at TK Yoga Ltd.

We promise to work hard to be aware of any training needs that might need to be met.

The Cost?

£550.00 Per Year.

Paid in Full at each anniversary/or half yearly.

Membership awarding category will be at the discretion of Tina and Keely.
