Super Intensive 14 Days Yoga Teacher Training

Our School is Founded on the Principal of Ahimsa.

14 days onsite training

Core Elements Covered.

In Person Training. 8 Hours per day will be spent in the studio.

Includes 1 hour of personal early morning practice.

Approx: 112 Hours.

Techniques. Teaching Practice. Meditation. Mantra. Mudra. Kriyas. Pranayama and Asana.

 To Include:

The importance and healing effect of Alignment on both the physical and subtle body.

Mantra and the effects on both physical and subtle body.

Mudra and why we should seek to use  Mudras in teaching.

Pranayama and the effects on the inner systems.

Kriyas and their place in cleansing during yogic lifestyle.

Asana, and a thorough grounding in executing each Asana and teaching safety. 

In own time learning. 5 Sanskrit Asana names per day.  Journal- Reflections each day and understanding the relationship of pranayama, asana, and meditation.      

            

Teaching Methodology in action:  50 Hours.

Complete Sequencing to include: All of the above.

Hands Off and On Alignment techniques and Cues. 

Contraindications.

Counter Poses.

Adjustments and Modifications. 

Class Management, Pace and delivery, setting the Environment.

Class observation of demonstrating, observation, assisting and correcting.

In Person Teaching. Anatomy and Physiology. 10 Hours.

Anatomy to include:

Skeletal System. Systems of the body. Joints. Muscles. Muscles and Movement in Asana. Fascia.

On-Line with Lead Teacher 20 Hours.

Physiology. Nervous system. Stress responses. Cardiovascular system. Respiratory System.

Biomechanics.  Movement of Joints. Stabilising Joints. Balance and Safety. Stretching. Physical limitations. Body awareness.

In Person Teaching.  History of Yoga. 10 Hours.

Patanjali. Yoga Sutras. Sutras in modern day living.  Self- Reflection. Yoga Ethics. Responsibility. Equity in Hatha Yoga.  Bringing philosophy into practice. Commitment and Ethics.

On-Line with Lead Teacher 20 Hours.

Yoga Alliance UK ethics and commitments to best possible practice.

Professionalism. Joining Yoga Alliance professionals, and other professional organisations. Insurance. Promoting your business professionally. Commitment to continuing learning. Living as a Yogi.  Personal hygiene and timeliness. Communication and the words we speak.

 

Please be aware that throughout your 14 days onsite training there will be continual observation and feedback. Continual observation of assisting others, and your fellow students during practice. Continual assessment of teaching styles.

Daily Schedule.

7.30 am-8.30 am. Meditation. Mantra. Mudra.

8.30-9.00 am. Break.

9.00 am-12 noon. Pranayama. Asana.

12 noon-1.00 pm. Lunch Break.

1.00 pm-2.00 pm. Philosophy and Teaching Methodology.

2.00 pm - 4.30 pm. Asana. Practicum.

Also possibly an evening class to attend.

6.00 pm - 7.00 pm. Evening Asana.
